The Directors Guild of America has just finished handing out their awards for 2025, and as comes to no surprise, the big winner of the evening was Paul Thomas Anderson for "One Battle After Another," officially cementing his frontrunner status for the Best Director Oscar. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts has just finished announcing their nominees for 2025, and it comes as no surprise to find that Paul Thomas Anderson's "One Battle After Another" tops the list with 14 nominations, followed very closely by Ryan Coogler's "Sinners" with 13.
