Last year, audiences were introduced to J.K. Rowling's spinoff series "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," which focused on writer and creature expert Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) as he travels to New York several decades before the events of "Harry Potter." It was met with a rather mixed response, with some praising its visuals and special effects, while others found it lacking in excitement and an engaging screenplay, but it would appear that most fans of the franchise enjoyed it quite a bit.
Today, Warner Bros. has announced the home release of the film, declaring that it will first arrive on Digital HD on March 7th, followed by the Blu-ray/DVD release on March 28th.
The following special features will be included on both the Blu-ray and DVD releases of the film:
· Before Harry Potter: A New Era of Magic Begins!
o Join J.K. Rowling as she, David Yates and David Heyman return to Leavesden Studios to build a new and exciting corner of the wizarding universe.

It looks like we can expect quite a bit about the making of the film, which is always a great thing, that will including the characters, creatures, and production design. Apparently we can also expect a hefty portion of deleted sequences (the film was already a little too long, so it's interesting to see that it was supposed to be a lot longer). All-in-all, it should be a great release for the fans, so if that includes you, be sure to take note of the upcoming dates.
