La La Land Gets a Spectacular Full Trailer

Up to now, most of us have only gotten to see little bits and pieces of Damien Chazelle's upcoming film "La La Land" thanks to two short trailers that only began to give us a taste, but today, Lionsgate has finally unveiled a full trailer that shows us just what kind of dazzling experience we're in for.

The film, which tells of a jazz pianist who falls for an aspiring actress in Los Angeles, has been receiving a staggering amount of rave reviews (RT: 96%, 8.8/10; Metacritic: 91) ever since it first started its tour of the festival circuit, and it's currently being predicted by many (including myself, sight unseen) to be this year's Best Picture Oscar winner. After winning this year's Audience Award at the Toronto International Film Festival and playing at Telluride (where the eventual Best Picture winner has played for the last several years), it certainly seems like a good bet at the moment.

Featuring an incredible ensemble that includes Oscar nominee Ryan Gosling, Oscar nominee Emma Stone, and Oscar winner J.K. Simmons, there seems little doubt that not only will the film be a visual wonder, but also an acting powerhouse (and indeed, Gosling and Stone are already being predicted for spots in their respective Oscar categories).

It's easily my most anticipated film for the remainder of the year (and that's saying something with all of the amazing-looking films still left to see) and this trailer only continues to make the wait feel even longer, but luckily it won't be too much longer as the film is set to open in limited release on December 9th, followed by an expansion on December 16th.

Does this trailer have you even more excited for the film? Let us know in the comments below!
