Ghostbusters Reboot Comes to Digital HD September 27th and Blu-ray/DVD October 11th

One of this year's most divisive movies thus far came in the form of a "Ghostbusters" reboot that nobody really asked for. Not only were they trying to restart a series that had been dormant for 27 years, but they were trying to do it with entirely new characters, so it's no surprise that the reaction was decidedly mixed. Critics gave the reboot a middling score of 6.4/10 on Rotten Tomatoes, while audiences were not quite so kind, that is, those that bothered to go see it at all (the film didn't do quite as well with its monstrous budget as the studio was hoping).

However, the film did have it's fans, so they'll be glad to hear that Sony has officially announced the home release, declaring that it will be coming to Digital HD on September 27th and Blu-ray/DVD on October 11th.

It looks like we can expect quite a bit of extras when the film comes home, with the official tally being over three hours of bonus content that will include deleted scenes, gag reels, featurettes, and commentaries. Whether you enjoyed the film or not, at least they're going all out with the special features to give you a little bit of everything.
