Star Wars: The Force Awakens 3D Collector's Edition Comes to Blu-ray on November 15th
Good news for those of you who felt that we didn't get quite enough extras on the first Blu-ray release of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," as today Disney has announced that a Collector's Edition will be coming to Blu-ray in the US and Canada on November 15th.
Here's what's expected on the new release:

Deleted Scenes – View never-before-shared scenes that didn’t make the film’s final cut.

Inside the Armory – Take a fascinating tour through the design and creation of the weaponry in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
Classic Bonus Features – These offerings from the April release of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” include the complete story behind the making of the film, an unforgettable cast table read, insights from legendary composer John Williams and deleted scenes, as well as features that dig deeper into the creation of new characters such as BB-8, the design of the climactic lightsaber battle between Rey and Kylo Ren, the film’s remarkable digital artistry and the Star Wars: Force for Change global aid initiative.
It seems like I was one of few who wasn't completely bowled over by this latest "Star Wars" film. It was good, but its distinct lack of originality did hold it back a bit from being the great film that it could have been. That being said, the release we got back in April was pretty good, especially when it came to the extras that were included, though it must be noted that the deleted scenes weren't much to look at (which is why it's good to see that they're including a few more).
One of the things that had been sorely missing was a commentary from director J.J. Abrams, which I'm glad to see that they're rectifying for this latest edition. I'm sure Abrams has plenty of fascinating things to say about his experience making this film, from writing the script to pre-production to the completion of the final cut.
Aside from this, it looks as though we can expect a few more interesting looks behind the scenes at the making of the film, so if you were one of its many big fans (and are particularly interested in learning how it came together), then you should definitely make a note of the November 15th release date.
