Preacher: Season One Comes to Blu-ray/DVD October 4th

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has just announced that they will be bringing AMC's "Preacher: Season One" to Blu-ray/DVD on October 4th. The show, based on the comic book series from writer Garth Ennis and artists Steve Dillon and Glenn Fabry, follows a preacher (Dominic Cooper) who embarks on a journey of discovery and revenge following a supernatural event at his church, forcing him into a world populated by a cast of characters from Heaven, Hell, and everywhere in between.

The show, developed by Sam Caitlin ("Breaking Bad"), Seth Rogen (""This is the End"), and Evan Goldberg ("Superbad"), has been receiving amazing reviews, with critics calling it a "visually stunning adaption" and "a must-see for fans of the comic and newcomers alike."

Both the Blu-ray and DVD will include the following special features:

- Deleted & Extended Scenes

- "The Unfilmable Pilot"

- "The Stunts of Preacher"

Special features exclusive to the Blu-ray will include:

- Gag Reel

- "Chainsaw Fight Breakdown"

- “Behind the Killing Machine: Saint of Killers”

In the meantime, the season finale will air on July 31st, and just in case you didn't already hear the news, the show has been renewed for a 13-episode second season that is due to air in 2017.
