The Film: Up until recently, writer/director Destin Daniel Cretton's filmmaking career has been rather "under the radar." After a decade of making shorts, he made his first feature "I Am Not a Hipster" in 2012, which was not very well received. However, his very next feature, "Short Term 12," based on one of his shorts, met with glowing acclaim and made everyone take notice.
